Scholarships

Scholarship awards for Dartmouth's Master of Health Administration degree program are made possible through the generosity of alumni, corporations, and nonprofit foundations. The MHA scholarship and aid committee strives to meet the needs of each student, however, the program has limited scholarship funds and, in its' efforts to distribute funding support equitably, we cannot project a percentage of tuition or dollar amount for prospective students.

Each admitted student will be offered a scholarship application that will help the committee understand both the financial need and the contributions the student will bring to the MHA community.  Scholarship awards will be based on a combination of merit and need.

Federal Student Loans

To apply for federal student loan eligibility, all students need to complete the following two steps:

1) File the FAFSA. Dartmouth's school code is 002573

2) Submit the Dartmouth College Graduate Student Financial Aid Application

We need both forms to generate the official loan award package. The application process can be found on Dartmouth's Graduate Student Financial Aid website

Federal loans are available to U.S. citizens enrolled at least half-time and making satisfactory progress in a degree program. Federal financial aid to graduate students is available through the Federal Direct Loan program and the Federal Graduate PLUS Loan program. Graduate students who are citizens or permanent residents are eligible to borrow up to the full cost of attendance with federal student loans.

Post-9/11 GI Bill® and Yellow Ribbon Program

The Post-9/11 GI Bill provides financial support for education to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001, or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days. You must have received an honorable discharge to be eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill. The percent of eligibility is service related.

Some changes were made to the bill through the Post-9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Improvement Act of 2010 and more recently through the Harry W. Colmery Veteran’s Educational Assistance Act of the 2017 also known as the Forever GI Bill. The Yellow Ribbon Program (YRP) is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. The program allows institutions to enter into a voluntary agreement with the VA to fund tuition and fee expenses that exceed the 2022-23 VA cap of $26,381.37 at private institutions for individuals eligible for the 100 percent payment tier. The institution can contribute up to 50 percent of those expenses and VA will match the same amount as the institution. MHCDS participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program (YRP) without limitation on the number of veterans enrolled and at the full 50 percent funding level for the 2022-23 academic year. We are proud to support our veterans.
