Dartmouth's Master of Health Administration degree program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complex and evolving healthcare landscape and prepares them for a lifetime of leadership roles in healthcare organizations.

Some of the people who will benefit from a Dartmouth MHA degree include: 

  • Current healthcare managers or administrators who wish to advance their own careers and gain a deeper understanding of healthcare systems, management, finance, operations, policy, and strategic planning.
  • Early career health professionals such as doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other health professionals who want to transition into administrative roles or enhance their understanding of business and management in health care. 
  • Individuals who have completed an undergraduate degree in healthcare-related fields such as public health, health sciences, health informatics, or health policy and wish to specialize in healthcare administration.
  • Experienced non-healthcare professionals with a background in business, management, law, Information technology, or related fields who aspire to work specifically in the healthcare sector and want to acquire knowledge of healthcare systems, regulations, and policies. 

Requirements for all applicants: 

  • A minimum of two years of professional experience and/or currently employed in the health or human services field. (for waiver information, contact the admissions office).

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
